August 1 – November 15 – Apply for the Live Your Dream Award

The Live Your Dream Awards offers three levels of cash awards. Eligible applicants can submit their application between August 1 – November 15. Ultimately, a Live Your Dream Awards finalist has the potential to receive up to $16,000 to help offset tuition costs, purchase books, get transportation, or find reliable childcare so she can worry less about how to pay her bills and focus on reaching her dreams.   

Soroptimist Ruby Award: For Women Helping Women
Deadline for nominations is March 1, 2027

The Soroptimist Ruby Award honors women who, through their professional or
personal efforts, are making extraordinary differences in the lives of women or
girls. Honorees are women who have worked to improve the lives of other
women or girls. Their work has had a significant impact, and also inspires and

March 10 – International Women’s Day

Join us as we honor the achievements of women around the world and recognize the ongoing journey toward equality. This year’s theme, “Embrace Equity,” calls on us to celebrate the diversity of women’s experiences and advocate for a future where everyone has the tools and opportunities to thrive. Let’s use this day to amplify women’s voices, reflect on progress, and inspire change in our communities. Together, we can make a difference! Register for SIA’s Fourth Annual International Women’s Day Virtual Tea Party on March 10 at 8 pm.

April 3, 2027 – Spring Fling

Join us at the South Union Golf Course for an afternoon of celebrating the accomplishments of women in our Fayette County communities.  

April 23 – Denim Day

Denim Day is a powerful movement that calls attention to misconceptions and victim-blaming in cases of sexual assault. By wearing denim, we stand in solidarity with survivors and promote awareness of the importance of consent, respect, and education. Join us in breaking the silence and fostering a culture of empathy and support. Together, we can create change. 

SIA North Atlantic Spring Conference 

April 30 – May 2, 2027 is the annual NAR Spring Conference and members from across the North Atlantic Region will congregate at the Heritage Hotel in Southbury Connecticut to engage in exciting and fun activities to improve our skills in the delivery of the Dream Programs, and Accelerator Projects.  Members will also elevate their skills in such topics as public speaking, conflict resolution, and other leadership skills.  Contact us here to become a member and join in the fun.
